Dare the Devil
An
innovative concert series at Hugh's Room in Toronto, Anne hosts a
series of Sunday afternoons which bring together fiddlers of
various styles. They play alone, they play together, all with the
remarkable House backup of Tom Leighton and Ian Bell. Each afternoon ends with a short jam for
fiddlers young and old, tunes posted here.
Tickets: $10 Advance, $12 at the door, Children $7. Reserve at Hugh's Room (416) 531-6604. Hugh's
Room is located at 2261 Dundas Street West, just steps south of the
Dundas West Subway.

Randy Morrison: Randy began his professional career 30 years ago in 1978 with his first stage appearance in Dorchester Ontario. He went on to play with the Bruce County (bluegrass band) in the 1980s and the legendary Mac Wiseman. He toured and recorded with Canadian fiddle icon, Graham Townsend for 20 years, spent 10 years with Charley Pride, and performed with Grammy Award Winner Polka King Walter Ostenak. dy to the Dare the Devil stage.
Aaron Solomon: Cape Breton born, Aaron started out at age four learning Olde Tyme fiddling and classical violin concurrently. He later branched out into playing other styles including rock, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, celtic, folk and ethnic. As a multi-instrumentalist, singer and actor he has worked on over 200 recording sessions and performed with numerous artists including Shania Twain, Jeff Healey and Big Sugar. He toured Canada, the U. S. and Poland and performed at venues such as the Warsaw Philharmonic (Poland), Ed Sullivan Theatre (New York), Glenn Gould Studios (Toronto), Opryland Studios (Nashville) and National Congress Centre (Ottawa).
